KATERINA VIKIA SAKELLARIInterior DesignerKaterina Vikia-Sakellari’s twenty two years of constant participation in the formation of interior spaces, has determined a deep personal impulse for artistic expression taking shape in the creation of beautifully executed, design-specific everyday objects. While involved in commissions of either private or professional spaces, her main concern always remained the final touch factor manifested by a careful selection and placement of design objects with distinct aesthetic and functional value. Her personal belief is that the right blending of objects provides warmth and aesthetic balance to a space and also reflects the personality of those inhabiting it. Inspired by the different styles and trends in interior design, the arts, nature and everyday life, Katerina Vikia-Sakellari experiments with color and form to create through various techniques uniquely crafted objects appealing to all tastes & wishes. ELENI VIKIA
Interior DesignerA highly imaginative and creative individual, Eleni Vikia showed from an early age an interest in the arts, and specifically in painting. Self-taught to a great extent in terms of painting, she pursued her artistic aspirations by studying fashion, interior design and photography. To further develop her personal vision and skills, she took courses in decoupage, crackle finish, collage and restoration.
In an often startling and unconventional manner, her works combine color with form and storytelling in order to compose a fresh and quite surprising narrative. It seems as if she is rendering the artist’s own vision and presents it anew.
